Z Nation Lab – The Startup Factory

Z Nation Lab provides an ecosystem to tech entrepreneurs and startups to help them accelerate their growth.

They are an early stage accelerator which empowers entrepreneurs with capital, technical expertise, and network. We bring together high-quality mentors, subject matter experts, experienced professionals, investors and VCs under one roof to curate a community that offers an environment for innovation to thrive. Z Nation Lab works closely with corporate innovation teams to bring new technology, products, and services to life. With access to over 3,000+ startups through our network and a dedicated research team, we are the disruptive startup hub for various corporations across industries.

HISA – Heidelberg Indian Students Association

The organization is dedicated to the welfare of Indian students and community in and around Heidelberg. One of the important aspects of the organization is to bridge the gap between Indian and the local community. The organization has worked proudly for 15 years. 

HISA is now officially recognized by the University of Heidelberg as an international student organization. Presently the organization has more than 500 members from the University of Heidelberg, European Molecular Biology laboratory (EMBL), Max Planck Institutes (MPI), SRH University of Applied Sciences Heidelberg and so from companies like SAP, BASF, etc. roles from organizing cultural, sports, and Business Entrepreneurship events to assist students with all their needs. 

HISA is driven by enthusiastic committee members who voluntarily achieve the objectives of the organization.

Bluebilities – International Talent Acquisition

Bluebilities GmbH is a Berlin based startup, which specializes in the recruitment and competence development of international professionals in the fields of science, technology, engineering, mathematics and management. Bluebilities focuses on helping companies to open new channels for accessing international talent in Germany and Europe through, using a combination of a unique referral mechanism, talent database and active sourcing. In collaboration with its partners Bluebilities is creating international talent bridges that allow the flow of ideas, competencies and investment.

Consulate General of India, Munich was opened in May, 2002 with operational jurisdiction over the two southern German States of Bavaria and Baden Württemberg. The Consulate provides consular, commercial and other services to the residents of Bavaria and Baden Württemberg.

Bertelsmann Stiftung

The Germany and Asia program of the Bertelsmann Stiftung analyses the changes taking place in Asia in order to develop recommendations for German and European policymakers. It promotes an objective and constructive dialogue on the ramifications of developments in Asia and ensures that the relevant issues are given due consideration in discussions about the future of Germany.

The program produces academic studies and policy briefs and holds public events to help institutions in Germany gain a better understanding of what is happening in the East. It also fosters the creation of professional networks and cooperation between partners in Asia and Europe so that both sides benefit from their growing interdependence.

TK – Die Techniker 

TK – Die Techniker – is a statutory Health Insurance with about 10 Mio insured persons in Gemany. And still growing being one of the biggest Health Insurances in Germany. TK won the Focus Money Test for the best Health Insurance in Germany for 12 times in a row. TK has online offers both in German and English for the customers and most transactions  can be done comfortably at home or on the go. TK offers the TK-Welcome-Service – a one-year-support in English for people who come for their first job or studies to Germany.

GINSEP – German Indian Startup Exchange Program

The German Indian Startup Exchange Program (GINSEP) is an initiative by the German Startups Association (GSA) supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi). GINSEP seeks to promote the German-Indian economic relations in the field of startups as an impartial first point of contact and neutral facilitator of business contacts and opportunities between both countries.

TIE Deutschland

TiE is the world’s largest network of entrepreneurs. Founded in 1992 in Silicon Valley by a group of successful entrepreneurs, corporate executives, and senior professionals with roots in the Indus region, we currently have 13,000 members, including over 2,500 charter members in 61 chapters across 18 countries. TiE’s mission is to foster entrepreneurship globally through mentoring, networking, education, incubating, and funding. Dedicated to the virtuous cycle of wealth creation and giving back to the community, TiE’s focus is on generating and nurturing our next generation of entrepreneurs.

Indo German Chamber of Commerce – Startup Corridor

Traditionally working with established German multinationals as well as SMEs for over 62 years, the Indo German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC) is now working towards creating synergies between corporates and young startups. The Indo-German Chamber of Commerce, Bangalore in India, offers the opportunity to develop innovative solutions for relevant global challenges. It aims at increasing the quality of the startups by creating professionalization and is a neutral player for connecting and supplying information to interested stakeholders.
Being the largest bi-national chamber in the world, the IGCC has a vast network of German companies and can get deep insights into their innovation requirements. Some of the key competencies of IGCC are scouting of startups, creating matchmaking possibilities between startups and corporates across various domains.
IGCC has been the local partners for several global startup collaborations such as Startup AsiaBerlin, DENA Startup Energy Transition Awards, Roadshow – Startup Germany etc.

India Board Karlsruhe

The India Board of the City of Karlsruhe was set up as a follow-up to the “Karlsruhe meets Pune” tour of 2015 headed by Mayor Dr. Frank Mentrup. It is initiated and headed by Dr. Mentrup and by Michael Kaiser, Director of the Economic Development Department of Karlsruhe. With the India Board, a binding structure was created, which ensures long-term networking and exchange between the partners involved. It offers a forum to interlink the diverse India activities, connect players and to strengthen through regular exchange. The India Board now has approximately 100 members from business, science, research and culture. In 2014 the Karlsruhe Innovation Office opened its doors in Pune. Based on a Memorandum of Understanding between the States of Baden-Württemberg and Maharashtra, the Innovation Office Pune is now representing the entire State of Baden-Württemberg and expanding its activities even further.

Indian Students in Germany is a project initiated by the Embassy of India in Berlin (Germany) and in association with various student associations of Germany with the goal of facilitating open communication and sharing of information across all the Indian students and student organizations in Germany.
The primary goals of the project include:
• Encourage dissemination and sharing of information regarding issues including,but not limited to student visa,
job opportunities, cultural events, scholarships etc
• Provide suitable emergency contacts for the Indian students in Germany
• Connect potential employers (in India and Germany) with Indian students for job/internship opportunities

Heidelberg Technology Park

Heidelberg Technology Park was founded in 1984 as the first science park in Germany with a life science focus. Through its growth in the fields of biotechnology, pharmatechnology, environmental technology, printed electronics, as well as IT, it has been able to expand into five locations. Heidelberg Technology Park supports the exchange between research and industry and spin-offs from science with the necessary infrastructure. By working closely with internationally active partners such as EMBL, the DKFZ, the Center for Molecular Biology, the SRH University, the Excellence Cluster Organic Electronics, as well as the University and its hospital, it offers local businesses a large network. A further location, the 7000 m² Business Development Center Organic Electronics, will be opened in the Heidelberg Innovation Park in the middle of 2019. The new location of about 42 acres, will see academic research, start-ups, and established businesses cooperate and realize innovations aimed at the pressing challenges the future holds.

Heidelberg Startup Partners

Heidelberg Startup Partners are a cooperative initiative of research and educational institutions in Heidelberg. The association supports newly founded scientific, technological, and science-based businesses. In addition to the wide assortment of events, it offers an interdisciplinary team in Heidelberg who provides consulting services and supports entrepreneurs in their search for funding, qualified employees and office space.
The Heidelberg Startup Partners are a cooperative initiative of the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ), the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL), the IHK Rhein-Neckar, the University of Education Heidelberg, the SRH University Heidelberg, the Heidelberg Technology Park, the Heidelberg Technology Transfer, the medical department of the University of Heidelberg, as well as the University of Heidelberg.

Madhuri Cherukumilli / Volunteer HISA

Madhuri is one of the organizers of the event involved in documentation, project coordination and fund raising. She is a start-up enthusiast and is interested in innovation in health care, personalized medicine and wearable devices. She is a research scientist by profession and worked at University Heidelberg and EMBL. She has done her doctoral studies in Molecular pathology from International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, Italy.

Manisha Manojkumar / Working Student

Manisha is a working student, doing an internship that is a part of a joint collaboration between Bluebilities GmbH and Heidelberg Indian Students Association (HISA). She is currently doing her M.Sc in Molecular Biosciences with Major Cancer biology in University of Heidelberg in association with German Cancer Research Institute (DKFZ). She spent one year in doing voluntary service (Bundesfriwilligendienst) in a Kindergarten in Berlin, which was organized my the German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development, prior to taking up the master’s course. Her current interests are related to organizing the business pitch up event happening in Berlin and the job fare event happening in Heidelberg.

Omkar Kunte

Omkar is a master’s student studying International Business and Engineering at SRH Hochschule Heidelberg.  He has a strong interest in Business Management and Startups. He is actively contributing towards Start-Up events being organized by Heidelberg Indian Students Association (HISA) and is looking forward to the Pitch event in Heidelberg. He is also engaged with Intrvu as a working student.
